Johnny Hollow

http://www.johnnyhollow.com/
This site, created by some of the same team as My Pet Skeleton, showcases this band work and style in an admirable way. With a navigational theme that centers around beetles, moths and the dark weathered side of things, it creates an intriguing and slightly spooky atmosphere that's professionally executed.

Merk Design v6
http://www.merkdesign.com/
Opening with lovely sounds, Merk Design is the personal portfolio of Marc Virgili, which offers visitors a good dose of refined style that utilizes color and a space quite nicely. The animated menu transitions are zippy and effective and Merk's portfolio is loaded with some really nice work. I was especially keen to the photographs and the way the galleries are presented.

Merus Wines
http://www.meruswines.com/
Located amidst numerous other wineries that can be found in Napa California is Merus Wines. A unique 'micro winery' so to speak, operated entirely by one husband & wife team from their home which has been transformed into a fully functional winery. Merus produces extremely small batches of select vintages and their website does a great job of sharing the Murus experience with visitors. The use of photography in this website is well integrated and the navigation is equally effective.

Sporting a strong Mac look and feel, the DigitalBrand website does present itself with a classy design and a fairly sophisticated feel overall. The site is easy to navigate once the user locates the menu and the portfolio section offers a nice glimpse into the level of professional work this studio offers. Although the music loop quickly became repetitive, it made me smile since it's one of my favorite songs (The Notwist - Concequence) and the music control is pretty cute.
